Financial Planning Analyst
Permanent - 40 hours per week
Hatfield Business Park
£35,000 - £40,000 + Company Benefits + Pension
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a FP&A Analyst in the Hatfield Finance Team, in Yodel’s Head Office.
The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst provides support to the business covering all aspects of reporting, planning, forecasting and budgeting as well as providing insight and analysis on results to ensure the business exceeds its budget targets.
Work with aligned functions and finance teams to ensure financial performance is understood and communicated across all levels of the organisation as appropriate:
Provide detailed weekly and monthly analysis that provides management insight and supports decision making.
Detailed variance analysis of results providing insight on trends, risks, opportunities and actions to be reviewed with senior management.
Development of key performance indicators to support business analysis.
Consolidate and report results in relation to planned initiatives.
Work with finance colleagues to improve processes, ensure data quality / consistency and enhance information produced for management.
Enable accurate Capital Expenditure analysis and forecasting through close collaboration with business teams:
Co-ordinate the Capex Committee activities
Support the financial planning activities for the business:
Prepare consolidated budgets and quarterly re-forecasts.
Analyse budgets and forecasts ensuring key assumptions, drivers and variances are understood and clearly explained.
Ensure risks and opportunities are understood and clearly explained.
Lead the preparation of the cash flow rolling forecast.
Prepare budget and forecast material for finance, business and Executive team review.
Support the implementation of ABC principles into the FP&A reporting and forecasting routines.
Builds working relationships across the finance function.
Prepare ad hoc analysis as required
Newly qualified Accountant (CIMA or equivalent) or one year post qualified
Logistics and/or Manufacturing sector experience
Experience of using Hyperion/Essbase
Experience of CODA accounting system
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential along with strong written and oral communication skills.
Tenacious individual with high attention to detail and the ability to analyse complex data
Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
