Service Transition Manager Permanent Liverpool
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Service Transition Manager to join our organisation on a permanent basis. As Service Transition Manager you will provide thought leadership, long-term vision and strategy for the IT Service Transition Function. It will be the responsibility of the Service Transition Manager to ensure the safe and timely introduction of new or modified IT Service into the production IT environment, through the IT Change, Configuration, Service Introduction and Release processes.
Ensure that all areas of Information Technology are informed and fully prepared for new services/solutions.
Set and enforce the warranty period quality measures/acceptance criteria and ensure projects are not closed until these have been met.
Act as a focal point for new services prior to and immediately following their implementation into the live domain.
Produce, own and maintain the IT Service Transition process and ensure it is fit for purpose and monitored/ measured through accepted KPIs
Provide input into the Release Process to ensure that IT Services are not compromised, ensuring that predicted fault rates of any release fall within the agreed tolerances.
Create and socialist a shared vision for the function, which will be supported by a strategy, tactical plans and robust objectives.
Ensure that Service Definitions are produced to a high standard and that Acceptance Criterias for go live and Project Closure are agreed and implemented with all areas.
Contribute to a high performing and collaborative culture by demonstrating a drive for continuous improvement.
Ensure ongoing costs are understood and that any licensing or Security implications have been agreed and signed off.
Prince II or MSP certification
Strong understanding of the ITIL Service Lifecycle
Experience of multiple software delivery methodologies including Agile
Knowledge and experience of IT Service transition with a good understanding of its aims, objectives and processes.
Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Service Design Principles.
Strong organisational skills and a proven Project Management track record in IT Service Delivery
Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills.
